Delete your Ngern Ngok account
Ngern Ngok · Ledger · com.midori.ledger
If you still have the app
- Open Ngern Ngok and go to Settings.
- Find the Cloud Sync card, and scroll to Delete account.
- Tap Delete my account, confirm, and type
DELETEwhen asked.
This deletes everything below immediately. You do not need to contact us.
If you have already uninstalled it
Email support@plainpoint.net from the Google account you signed in with, with the subject Delete my Ngern Ngok account.
The request has to come from that address — it is the only thing that proves the account is yours. We do not ask for any other identifying information, and we cannot act on a request sent from a different address. Requests are actioned within 30 days.
What is deleted
- Your stored ledger. The encrypted copy of your wallets, transactions, budgets and schedules held for sync. Removed permanently; there is no backup to restore from.
- Your sign-in. The Google identity Ngern Ngok holds for you, including your email address. After this, signing in with the same Google account creates a brand-new, empty Ngern Ngok account.
- The data on the device you delete from. The in-app route erases the local ledger on that device, and the automatic backup copies Ngern Ngok keeps there, as its final step.
What is not deleted, and why
- Other devices. Ngern Ngok stores your ledger on each device as well as in the cloud, and it cannot reach a phone it is not running on. If you have Ngern Ngok on more than one device, open it on each and use Erase all data in Settings.
- Backups you exported yourself. Files you saved through Backup and Restore are yours and live wherever you put them. Ngern Ngok never had a copy.
- Ordinary server logs. Request logs that may contain an IP address are kept for up to 30 days for security and abuse handling, then discarded. They are not part of your account and are not used to rebuild it.
If you only want to delete your data
You do not have to delete your account to get rid of your data. Erase all data in Settings permanently erases the ledger on that device — every wallet, transaction, budget and schedule, and the automatic backup copies Ngern Ngok keeps there. If you are signed in, the erasure is carried up to the stored copy as well, so the cloud copy is emptied too. Your account stays, and you can start over with an empty ledger.
- Erased. Wallets, transactions, categories, budgets and schedules — on that device, and in the stored copy if you are signed in.
- Kept. Your account itself and the email address attached to it, so you can keep using Ngern Ngok. To remove those as well, delete the account using the steps above.
- Other devices. Sign in on each one so the erasure reaches it, or use Erase all data there too.
If you only want to stop syncing
You do not need to delete your account. Sign out in Settings leaves the ledger on your device and stops it syncing. Deleting the account is the irreversible option, and it is separate on purpose.
